I've made them several times, once for a Halloween party (ya' know, to keep the Vampires away), and they are quite good. But then I'll try just about anything.GARLIC CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
10 Cloves fresh garlic
Boiling water
-specialty stores carry this
1/2 c Maple syrup
1 c Butter, softened
3/4 c Brown sugar
3/4 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
1/2 ts Salt
2 1/4 c Chocolate chips
1/2 c Chopped nuts
2 1/2 c Flour
1 ts Baking soda
Drop garlic cloves into boiling water for about 5 minutes until tender. Peel and chop garlic and soak in Maple syrup for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, cream butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla together until light and fluffy. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to cream mixture. Then stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drain garlic and add to cookie batter. Blend well. Drop cookie batter by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly browned. Remove from oven and cool on racks.

C Is For Cookie
In honor of Atilla The Mom's post about the idiot woman in Maine responsible for helping her daughter and two classmates bake a batch of laxative-laced cookies as an anonymous "gift" for their teacher, I offer this recipe for Garlic Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Hmm! I think I may take a bit of convincing.
Bahaha! I've never tried them (I look at them along the lines of fudge made out of pinto beans), but I have a friend who swears by them!
Uh Sven, I'll take you word for it. I like garlic, just not in my cookies.
Coming from the guy who just had to taste test booger flavored jelly beans, I'm not sure I trust your endorsement.
That said, I just might have to try the recipe, as it combines two of the best foods on earth.
Garlic Chocolate Chip Cookies! Me thinks this is one those food that I will protest and be disgusted with but secretly cook and savor :)
