Any Suggestions?

My sister starts her 16-week cycle of chemotherapy today? What does a person say to wish her well? I couldn’t find a Happy Chemo! section at the local Hallmark store and somehow wishing her luck doesn’t seem right either, (Good luck purposely injecting your body with toxic chemicals!).

Thoughts?

Rough. I wouldn't think words would make either of you feel any better. Perhaps, "I'm with you."

Yikes. That's a tough one. Sending my best wishes to your sister and family.

When the phone rings and she needs someone pickit up, go to her, hold her hand, hold her hair out of the toilet...

If you live close.

Send a plant for her to water everyday, women need something to "care" about to hold on to. It's bizzar, but my Mom was more worried about being sure the cat was fed and the plant watered than her loosing her hair!

There are no words. Just be there for her. I'm so sorry, Sven.

I hope the nasty drugs do their job well, and that this becomes just a blip on the radar that she can tell her grandchildren about when she is 64.
