My New Toy

It's a Yamaha 12-string acoustic. I traded it for an old 6-string electric I haven't played in 10 years. That still keeps the total at four guitars, one mandolin and one banjo.

I haven't quite figured out how to play the banjo yet.

Sven,

I showed your post to Flip, my in-house guitar player. He says he has string envy.

His Martin acoustic has only 6 strings, as do the Gold Top and the Telecaster.

I know where this is going. Guitar Center, our home away from home. Thanks for your help.

Your new ax is beautiful. Enjoy!!

My Takamine 6-string acoustic/electric is my primary church guitar but this new one should come in handy. With the Lid Twisters I usually play my Tele or my Epiphone Sheraton II. A former band mate has a Gold Top, that is one sweet guitar. The kind you just prop up on your knee and it plays itself. Some day I'd love to get one but its either that or feed the kids.

damn it. I have a mandolin sitting in my closet calling my name and it has been for about 3 years now. lessons would help.

Hey! LBok has the same guitar, I believe. Sounds great and even better if you tune it.

Oneear: This is my first 12-string. I'm going to start with just tuning 6 at a time.

That is SO awesome! I have an acoustic and an electric (both very cheap) and I can kind of play a little bit. Okay, not really. I just like to look at them and pretend I can play.
